Cleveland era with beavertail lugs are the most sought after, with the Daytons a close second.
I agree with that. However, there are some Rogers lovers who prefer the Cleveland Holiday series with the horrible bread and butter lugs....horrible because they crack and collapse.
I collect and play........
Cleveland Rogers with Beavertails, I love the early stuff, 63, with three ply shells. Close second is the later 64 through 66 Cleveland five ply.
Followed by the Dayton flat gray 66-67, even up to the speckled gray, 68 into 69.
Fullertons were nice drums.
9/72 fullertons were again thre ply shells.
And I still have my original five ply 77 Big R Memrilock set.
And do love the Xp8 drums of 79-84.
Anything else..........isnt worth the playing time.
If I'm not mistaken, weren't all Cleveland and almost 99% of Dayton tagged drums all made in Covington? I believe that Cleveland and Dayton were more of administrative offices than anything else. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Cleveland and Dayton Rogers were both built in Covington.
