Rogers Spanish Gold Swivomatic Last viewed: 43 minutes ago

Hello !

I recently bought a great Rogers kit in an original Spanish Gold finish, yet has swivomatic fittings, although the finish was not available till '76. They look really cool and just need to sort some new heads for it. I see someone else on the forum has posted about a set like this... are they rare ?

Also I want to date it it has smaller labels in all 3 and all have 60-5322 9172 then:

13" 41731

16" 41830

22" 41440

What year would that make it ? I understand that label type is '72 - '75... i'm guessing it is going to be '75 because of the finish.

I also need to get a few little bits for it, a missing rod, washers and stuff anyone recommend me anyone who has parts ?

Thanks

Edward

That sounds like the one that recently passed through eBay in the UK.

Spanish Gold does turn up on sets before it appeared in the catalogue with the Big R drums I think. There are a few about with swivo fittings so yes on the rare side.

For the parts you need you could try a UK eBay seller called Stainless1955. He has dealt in Rogers for a long time. If you need a swivo tom arm I have a US one of the correct era. PM me.

I'll leave the dating to others but I would think you are right at 75ish.

And how about some photos?

From what I have heard Rogers was still shipping kits with swivo hardware into the year 1976,so they may very well be 1976.
