Rogers Sta-tite Throw-off Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

I just bought a drum off ebay...Luxor...it is in perfect condition...except... one of the holes on the outside body

is sllightly enlarged and as a result when you try to attach the strings from the snare they do stay in place since the hold down screw goes straight in without catching on to anything while the other side goes in fine.

Any suggestions how to correct.

I thought of attaching a small nut to the backside of the screw and thereby holding it in place

thanks

Nut and bolt.

Re-tap it and use a bigger size screw on that size.

See if they make a threaded insert that size.

Buy another throw off.

Two cents.

I had a girl friend once that pretty much resembled that. She drank so much you could call her Sta-Tite and be right on the mark.

We didn't last long... I think her name was Stacy. Yeah, that's it. Stacy Sta-Tite.

Oh, and about your strainer... what Jim said.

What is a threaded insert.... Where would it go?

I'm thinking just a thin nut and then I can use the original screw

Inserts are a bit intrusive... yeah nut and bolt is probably the best.

Hmmm they have a locking insert on this page that might be interesting to try.
