Ive always played Ludwig snares all my life so as a result I know nothing about Rogers drum so here it goes. per Vintage Drum Guide it is a Rogers Super Ten IMO in very nice condition It has the big 'R' badge AND a script badge, never seen this before.Would $80 be a fair price?
Rogers Super Ten question Last viewed: 44 minutes ago
Rogers Superten, produced with the Oval Badge from 1973-75. Big R badge from 76-84. All of the Big R badged five inch drums also had the Script Logo. Shell is Chrome over Steel. Drums weather really nice with minimal pitting and no flaking seen in the vast majority of examples. 80 bux? ........
Thats a steal.

Thanks Ploughman, It is a FANTASTIC sounding snare
The Super Ten is an outstanding drum. I picked one up 'on accident'. It was a yard sale find that came with the cruddy (mid 90's?) remains of an Harmony kit that I basically bought for the lugs and rims. The Super Ten was nearly pristine under a half inch of of dust. What a ***el! I've got far too many snare drums, but I find myself going to it often. Eighty dollars is really a steal. You'll find yourself hauling it out of it's case over and over.
Great find!
HEY FELLERS, Just picked up that SUPER 10. Put new AMBASSADOR top/bottom with PURESOUND wires.IMO............like Fishwaltz speculated, this very well may be my new go-to snare drum.
O YEAH! The serial # is D716744,how old is this drum?
Serial number in that range puts your drum SOLIDLY in 1977. AND .......... it helps me date a couple other drums. Serials in the 716xxx range on Big R badges are evident on five ply drums and Dynasonic Snares. The top of the throw off knob and the top of the dampener knob should be solid, smooth chrome.

You are correct about the knob's. This find is a milestone for me.Of all the years I been collecting vintage snare drums this is my very first Rogers.
