Dear All,

I have just bought a Rogers swiv-o-matic bass drum pedal (see first pic).

Under the "heel" there was, stuck on, a thin rubber layer. I tore it and found out that under the layer the "heel" was empty (i.e. without the metal cover I had expected, see second pic).

How should such a "heel" be finished below? With metal or rubber?

I hope someone can help me.
