Rogers Swivo Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hi all,

Just wondering, and i think I brought up this topic before, but is there a "guide" or reference to where the swivo plate for a single tom should be mounted on the kick drum? I'm seeing the swivo in all different locations on kicks, and some that really don't seem to make sense regarding tom placement.

I mention this because in my other thread where I show pictures of apparantly "original" condition Rogers, the swivo's are not consistantly placed. I would suspect that this wuld bring the whole "original" condition into question?

Surely when Rogers made for example a 13/16/22 combo, or a 12/14/20 combo, the swivo would be located in a standard position?

Any info would be great

Cheers

Phil

To specifically answer this question would make this post tremendously long.

I suggest you view the Rogers catalogues on this page...

the catalogue views for Cleveland, Dayton, and fullerton era drums should answer your questions as to what was proper. And it was all over the place depending on the set up, and even size of drums.

Actually,I believe that the way you can tell what catalogued kit you have is by the placement of the swivo mounts on the kick drums, and I have seen different placements on non modified kits,I believe you could order the placement of mounts from the factory as a special order also.
