Howdy VDFers,

Sorry to ask again, but I wasn't really specific enough last time! I have looked around eBay, but I'd like to ask just a few of the experts to spare a minute to give me a ball park current sale price on this kit:

20/12/14/16/14 snare drum - all Cleveland drums. The only hardware would be the long tom legs for both floors; bass drum legs, bass drum cymbal arm and a long swivo tom mount as pictured.

Info: 20/12/16 - this is a Cleveland (maybe a Buddy Rich Headliner?) kit, all close serials 1964. These are in very nice condition, especially the chrome and the interiors.

14" floor tom is an add-on Cleveland from 1965 - slightly more used and the interior has a few scratches.

14" Powertone snare drum, Cleveland 1965. It's a rewrap. It wasn't knocked around though and it's a good wrap job. This drum sounds fantastic.

Thanks very much for your time - it's greatly appreciated.

Not a dime less than 2500.

20-12-16 with hardware you describe.......... 1200-1500 depending on, well, stuff ...like how good is it. You know that better than any picture can say.

14x14..... 500-900 depending on how bad someone wants it, condition, and solo or with a set.

The snare.... 450-550 in great shape. you lose 25-33 % of that due to the wrap.

So, taking the low end 1200.....500.... 400.....

Yes, 2500 as shown, drums with all hardware holes filled with hardware. No extras, no hidden issues. That would be a starting point for a negotiation.

I have given a lot of consideration towards value on my own drums. And... I am not impressed by ebay sales, or those who keep saying value is down, except when they are selling. I know value has been hurt by the stripper salesmen on ebay and the lengthy time they rerun auctions. But seriously, nice sets sell for nice money. Even in this economy.

I paid 655 for a 63 late B&B Steel Gray Ripple Floor tom with first gen beavertails (that is how long ago the conversion was done, possibly even factory). And there is no way that is going to go anywhere for less than what I paid. Some modifications do not hurt value, if they were done right, and a long time ago.
