Found this kit on my local classifieds and thought i'd ask you Rogers experts if these are worth it and are any good ? They look pretty solid and the price seems pretty good as well ? Not thinking of buying them or anything, was just curious ;) Thanks in advance to all replies.

cheers,

Rob

Great drums, and looks like good price. If they were around here, I'd buy'em!

They were the first drums where their shell make up ( 8ply 100% maple) was extensively advertised. Before that no one paid much (or any) attention to what wood was being used in drums. After the XP-8's it became a major selling point of all makes.

I'm not a Rogers guy but I know these are pretty well thought of by those that are.

Agree! Actually, it's a ridiculous price... that's only $220 in American dollars!

Some believe they sound BEST in all of vintage drums. Of course it is subjective - but wanted to point out that they ARE made by Rogers - the Cadillac of drums.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

I have a set. Rather partial to them. Mine are 18BD-12-13-14FT, Factory set. Amazing sound. I did own a set with a 22 bd-12-13-16ft. Great sound.

By the way, I have Evans J1 Etched on top and original Rogers clear on bottom. With an Evans EQ4 batter and Original Rogers Logo clear on front. They do sound very, very good.
