WELCOME BACK.

I was a bit confused when I first saw your posting. My email address uses gnmiller, and I occasionally get mistyped email from someone in Denver with the address of gnmmiller, so your forum name had me doing a double take. Couldn't quite figure out if I wrote the posting, or the people from Denver.

Glad to have you back. I bought a Keller Dyna from Kelly before he passed, and another Koa Dyna from his estate thru Rob Cook.

I met Kelly in Fresno, Ca, and picked up my first seven line Dynasonic from him.

YES!!!!! Especially if you have repair advice on the site. That would be very cool. BTW,I have in the past thought that someone should buy the Rogers line and offer new Swivo stuff. Of course,it will never happen but, that would have been a great thing!

Yes!!! Bring back this website! I love Rogers drums! After selling my wrap-ready Headliner kit a few years back, I felt I'd never have another Rogers kit. As luck would have it, I recently acquired a beautiful set of shells with Cleveland tags. They are a Headliner kit in blue glitter...and in beautiful condition. I worked out a deal with the seller to include period correct lugs (not the originals) with the black felt pads that cushion the springs. They are all in wonderful condition. I have the majority of Swivo hardware for the kit and hope to have it assembled by the end of the year.

In regards to posting catalogs, I hope they will be properly scanned to eliminate any moire patterns. I'm sure most of us have found those posted catalogs online, only to have the images distorted because the person doing the scans didn't understand how to eliminate the moire effect.

I'll be looking forward to the site. Keep up the good work!

All Catalogs are properly scanned and have NO moire patterns in them. Some catalogs were scanned several times and any moire pages were replaced with clean scans. This is actually harder than it sounds but for me, they HAD to be perfect! Downloadable catalogs will be up in about a week or so.

First repair articles will be fixing loose threaded collet noses just like the factory originally did them, re-glueing and repairing reinforcing rings at the bearing edge and fixing rattling tone controls.

Any suggestions for other repair articles??

For those of you who remember the last interface we had with the pictures of the drums and drumstick pointers Christopher is working on getting those to scale correctly at 1080p. Back in the day they were Hi-res for the time, 1024x768 but well, need a lot of work to come up to today's standards.

I don't quite understand your reference to 1080P. I completely understand what this is, but not quite sure what this has to do with computer screen resolution. Please enlighten me if I'm outdated with the technology!

Howdy,

Back in the day when I originally did the heads and sticks, I had them scaled correctly to go up to 1280x1024 with 1024x768 being the most common resolution of the old CRTs way back 8 years ago.

Now, however, with larger LCD monitors that are also widescreens, I need to work to make sure the website scales well up to 1920x1080 (which is also 1080p on most large LCD TVs) and 1920x1200 (since that's also possible on a 16:10 resolution monitor).

At any rate, I'll be working on this over the course of the next couple of weeks. I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and I'll be back the middle of next week. Once I recover from my vacation, work on the site will resume. :p

As always, the site and its information will be free. The site was always intended to be a free resource for all Rogers collectors with as much information as we could collect. That was true in 2003 and it is true, today, in 2011.

If you have any questions or comments, you can contact me via email through the link on the site or, I imagine, you could PM me here.

Warmest regards,

Christopher Miller

OK, I totally understand! It's not so much 1080P as it is the resolution this encompasses. Sounds ideal! Can hardly wait!
