Rolling Stones disappointment Last viewed: 1 day ago

Had tickets to see the Stones at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday, which has just undergone a 450 million dollar upgrade. The concert was going to be

the grand opening of the new stadium.

Was really looking forward to seeing the band and the new stadium,

but with the untimely and sad demise of Mick Jagers partner the entire

Australian tour has been cancelled.

Mick must be devastated, I feel for the guy.

Still hope to see the Stones sometime soon for one last time in OZ.

Fingers crossed they will return.

I just find it incredible that someone who Mick dated off and on for a few years could cancel a tour. There maybe more to the story.

Just read that the tour is being rescheduled for Oct-Dec.. Money back if the new dates don't suit...

I remember years ago having tickets for an Eagles concert... and the tour was postponed for a whole year when Frey was ill...

Cheers

It wasn't a 'natural' death, it was suicide. Jagger must be turned inside, out blaming himself (that's what happens with suicides, survivors blame themselves!) and I don't blame him one bit for cancelling a Rock & Roll show due to the circumstances.

A close friend of mine committed suicide and it took a long time to get over it. That kind of death creates a lot of coping problems for the survivors. Jagger may need some time with this before he can resume his normal work schedule. I'm sorry for my buddies in OZ who will be missing out on a great music experience, but be patient, he'll get back on his feet shortly and resched the tour I'm sure. I saw them in 88' at Shea Stadium during the 'Steel Wheels' tour, it was a concert I'll remember all my life. Hope you guys get the chance to see them soon. Sad story all around.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

If I remember correctly, Jagger's response to Brian's death when he was informed was, "It must go on".
