I saw the stones in Adelaide last night. WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW. holy ****!!!! They have still got it in a big way and even mick taylor joined them for some songs. They played for 2 and a half hours which I think is incredible for men of their age and especially for Charlie who is 50 years older than I am :P He was steady as ever and just grooving. He even did a small solo at one stage and he clearly has chops that he rarely needs to use. Also I must come clean here, when they played gimme shelter, I cried like a little ***** haha. But hey in my defence, attending a rock n roll concert such as this one is my kind of religious experience. My dad said it was the best show hes ever seen and thats coming from a man who has seen many of the great bands including Zeppelin in 72. If you guys get the chance you have to see them because they may be old now but once they step on that stage they become ageless. Bowing Bowing Bowing

Sorry guys just had to express my joy haha

I'm envious. The Stones are still around because they are the best at what they do.

Cool Stuff! The part that gets "forgotten" about these long time bands is the fact they have managed to keep just enough of their personal egos' in check, to manage to stay together. That is a real accomplishment in itself. The list of bands that have broken up because of petty crap a.k.a. artistic differences, is heart-breaking. Yes they all have reformed with pseudo-versions of theirselves, but acts like GnR, White Lion, Journey, etc. just don't seem the same with out the missing ingredients.

Anyways, this was Rolling Stones and kudos to them for keeping it going!

I saw them a few times in the 70's,and recently watched the HBO special with them live in Hyde Park, and they smoked.Charlie was cooking with gas,and his Gretsch kit and DW snare sounded just great. They can still bring it,and show anyone how it's done.

i watch alot of stuff on youtube (since my tv isn't plugged in) and i recently found the stones channel. there's some really cool docs they put up. i even discovered a few modern stones tunes i never heard of and really like.

its great to hear they still have it. not really surprised but the level of bad*ss they have achieved is stellar.

its the stones...they rule.

I got to go to the New York show of the Steel Wheels Tour in 88'. It was a concert experience that is etched in my brain. The Stones have -always- been the best and most enduring Rock & Roll band in the business.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
