This is a rope tension bass drum I just finished building that will be perfect for that younger or smaller player. It has a 9" x 20" luan shell that has been finished in a walnut stain and hoops that are finished in an ebony stain, hand made leather ears with copper rivets and fresh tucked calfskin heads on both sides of the drum and 4 carry hook up points on the back side.
