I could be wrong but I believe under some circumstances, Ebay now charges you final value fees if you have bids when you end an item early. I don't know for sure if that applies in all cases or not, but you might want to check that out.
As far as the value and setting a reserve, as much as I love a Super Ten, its not a big ticket item and you'll most likely sit on the drum for a while if there is a reserve. Its been my experience that buyers dont bid as high when a reserve is placed and will wait it out. Setting a reserve certainly wont force the price up, and on lower value items in the $150-200 range, reserves are more of a roadblock than a stimulator.
