seeking advice on this craigslist find.

looks like there is snare rash right through the wrap. my ultimate goal would be to play them periodically in my Motown band. is this configuration called speedfire? how's the price?

Wow a complete set. 4 pc and a looks like no missing parts and great condition for the asking price i would try to get them down alittle but if not the asking price is fair...Mikey

I got them... detailed pictures to follow, but that's not snare rash in the picture, it's the badge.

Amazing story - the seller got these from his uncle around 1972, then played just the snare in school band for one year. They have been in storage ever since - 40 years! Last week, he took them to a flea market where they went unsold with an asking price of $35

You've renewed my faith in flea markets! --------but at 1200.00, you got seriously --------- a really good deal anyway; especially since

It looks like everything except the clutch is intact. Cymbal arm, snare arm. Often those go missing.

Can't get the 35.00 out of my head. Oh, well. If I had come across those,at a flea market; I probably would have ACTUALLY had a heart attack! Wouldn't have mattered anyway.
