Why don't you open a DHL Account and then get your own quote from them?

That's NOT a bad idea !,

I'm aghast, astounded, dumbfounded, loss(t) for words&speechless to describe this 'sellers" attitude&behaviour saying i should be "muzzled"" &blocked on FB.ALL because i asked for&questioned his shipping quote&WHY he wouldn't sell individually his drums!.It's difficult as it is to find ORIGINAL "BONHAM" sized Ludwig SS drums but to deal with such a shockingly arrogant&rude individual sours the expereince! :(.

The stainless steel world is a small one. especially Bonham sized drums. They're only a few of us that have the non re issue originals. I know all of them and the same in return. I've sold now 5 stainless steel 26" bass drums. they don't come along often. Good luck on your hunt, DHL is the way to go for you down under Adrian.

There is a alternative get space on a crate going there by boat it's a lot cheaper if seller. Can pack them , the shipper has hubs all over the country but it's is the real slow boat to China

Gary

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

DHL charged me about $700AUD to ship my Downbeat to Oz from Seattle, and that was two years ago. Won't have changed much, I don't think. Beats $5K!!

FWIW I shipped 26" drums, and have helped one guy here in australia with shipping radio kings with 26" bass.

Asking $5K for shipping shall be considered as red light for the buyer.

Contact me for the details.

Hi. I often buy drums from the US and ship to New Zealand and costs do vary significantly. I just bought a Leedy snare and it worked out around NZ$130 plus a further NZ$195 on import duty & GST. I'm not sure whether they run the same thing in Oz but NZ Post have 'collection hubs' in the US, China and Europe where you can get goods shipped to at local rates and then they ship them back to New Zealand which sometimes works out cheaper. It also helps get around some US sellers who are averse to dealing with offshore buyers.

"If 'A' equals 'success' in life then 'A' equals 'X' plus 'Y' plus 'Z' where work equals 'X', 'Y' is play and 'Z' is keeping your mouth shut" - Albert Einstein.

1920s 14"x5" Ludwig Super Sensitive Dual Snare
1957 6 1/2" x15" Slingerland WMP Concert King
1938 8"x15" Leedy Broadway Standard
1947-53 14x6.5" NOB Ludwig & Ludwig Universal
...plus a bunch of mismatched Slingerlands that collectively make a pleasing noise.

Anyone chasing an immaculate 70's S/S kit in Aussie please let me know.

I have an Australia Post account so can freight them nationally at pretty decent price. Thanks very much.
