Hello from Vancouver.
Does anybody in Western Canada have an idea as to the cost of shipping a
4 piece Club Date kit to England.
I have an interested buyer in England and he wants a "ball park" figure.
Save me a trip into town.
Thanks

Adrian - All you need to know is; how many boxes, what dimensions and a good approximate weight for each box. You can go to any international carrier on the web (Canadian companies) and get a decent ball park figure for shipping. I'm waiting for an estimate going in the other direction as we speak. (UK to USA)
Man, from B.C. to the U.k. is going to be a bee-ach on the pocketbook! To ship a set of drums half way around the world is not going to be cheap. It'll likely be expensive for me and I'm on the -East- coast! Compared to you, I'm half way there! lol

Thanks for the advice.
I have a kit my friend wants me to sell for him, but he wants as much as they can sell them for over there ($1000 ) And, they are not in top notch condition.
So it's not viable judging by your excellent comments.
Regards.
Adrian
I have shipped drums from the US and Canada to the UK frequently in the past, however the times when you used to be able to ship a kit to make it worthwhile are long gone the economy USPS 6-8 week delivery seems no longer to be available. It can cost more than the kit to actually ship it, I used t be able to get a full kit over for £50. the current rate is about that for a snare drum, I only tend to get hard to find spares from the US as they usual half the price they over here, I once bought a 26" Vistalite bass drum from the states it cost £450 to get it over the drum only cost £120 so it can be worth it if you want some thing special, you could probably get a clubdate cheaper from Len Howe than you could get one from the states, plus you will get shafted for at least 20% import duty on the costs of the drums plus the shipping, if its from Canada they charge import duty on the US dollar rate as screw you again.
