Should I buy this "Ludwig & WFL Bop Kit"? Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Obviously, none of the drums "match", but I am still very much interested in this kit. Do any of the good folks on this drum forum have any advice on whether or not this kit is a good deal? Any tips or pointers on what I should pay or be wary about is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Cool kit! Overpriced. A fan of Ludwig playing this would like the assemblage of the "blast through history" aspect of it. Should be like $450. No stands, no snare.

Don't think it's unreasonable myself, would try to talk him down though. Bought my first vintage Ludwig kit about 15 years ago, and it wasn't matched up either. Payed about the same at the time, but I love the kit, and still have it, along with several others. Great drums. If you're looking for a great players kit, with that vintage Ludwig vibe, then this looks like a nice kit.

I also think its a cool kit, the different years would not bother me at all. Sizes are great. But to me pics 2,3 show some oarnge peel in the finish, but that could be a matter of light and the flakes in the finish also. Go see it in person to decide, then pay what you feel is right. Good luck, and let us know if you get them!
