should i buy? (vistalites) Last viewed: 4 hours ago

From RogerSling

I realize this is going to sound out of character ... but ... between those two kits, the vistas are the better choice. The Slingy kit is missing the 12 inch Tom and has the double clip pole with only the 13 hanging on it. That's going to be a very unstable setup if you play with any conviction. Plus, those vistas are very cool drums. Smokey was my favorite color. I'll make a deal with you. If you get the vistas and they are in very good condition with no cracks and you find you don't like them ... I'll trade you a set of Slingys for them.

man i'm so glad i have you guys! i would have had no clue about that slingy kit missing the tom until i got it home and thought why is there two of these?

so here's my question, after seeing some better pictures there is some rash on two of the logo plates (10 and 14). and a couple snare scuffs (looks to be light) is this set worth 800? if you guys think that's a good buy i'll get it.

thanks for all the help so far.

Wow. Tough decision - I envy your position. As much as I prefer wood drums, I would vote for the Vistas. Nice flexible kit.

Enjoy either of them and good luck.
