Silkscreened Rogers Logo BD head Last viewed: 2 hours ago

I have located a local silk screener who has a special flexable ink that should work well for silk screening the famous Rogers logo onto a bass drum head. I am thinking of making a mass order of six (6) 20" and six (6) 22" bass drum heads. The heads will not have any logo (plain white other than the Rogers logo like the original). I can do either the rough (brush) style or gloss style bass drum head your choice. I'm trying to get a feel to see if enough interested parties would make it worth my time to go ahead with the project. I'm thinking of pricing the heads at $80 plus shipping.

Any takers?

Sounds like a really cool idea, but personally for that money I would rather just get a decal and put it on a REMO head. I could get 2 for the price of one that way.

Just my :2Cents:

Here's the deal: This would be either a brush or smooth head that is ALL WHITE (no Remo or other brand logo, just like the original Rogers BD heads were). I spoke with John Aldridge and he says that back in the 1960's the drum companies utilized a silk screening process. Later on they went the cheap route and devolved to the decal logo. I'm proposing the original silk screened Rogers logo on an all white BD head utilizing a special flexable ink that should flex with the bass drum head. Original Rogers BD heads with original logos are going for $100 - 150. This should look BETTER than original due to the fact that it will be manufactured using today's updated silk screening processes.

If I can't get ten or twelve people interested in this I am going to go ahead and manufacture five or six of these of which I personally need two (2) 22" and one (1) 20" BD head for my own Covington, Ohio Rogers drum sets.

I know this is an old post, but I just joined the group and would be interested in a 22" white brush finish (like the original) Rogers logo head..
