I'm going to look at a 70's chrome Sling set monday, local guy asking $900, 24"bass 13/14 and 16" toms, I thought that was high, anyonw know what the outer wrap was made for these drums?

Late 70's. Black chrome and chrome were a metal wrap. I have stripped both in a rusty state.

[COLOR="Green"]That's a hella job to remove those sorta wraps...they don't lift easily.
It IS high, particularly considering there's no snare drum. $600-700 current market value, tops....and quite honestly, if the finish isn't in very good shape...not even that $.[/COLOR]
