That looks like a Music Yo era snare,which I think were imported.I don't remember if they had that slapshot strainer though .I know they made a copper shell model,but that looks brass to me.I think K.O. owns a copper one.

Maybe Mark Cooper will chime in.

That looks right for around 1984-85 by the Badge... Part of the Magnum range of snares..

Yes that badge was pretty much the last hoorrah of Niles Slingerland and w. I have a couple toms that I ordered brand new in '86 and they were almost impossible to get at that point since the company was falling apart. It took close to a year to get them.

I didn't know they were still doing the 2 to 1 snares at that point though. Interesting snare. If it's something you're interested make sure the slapshot strainer is in tact. It's a cool strainer if all is well with it and allows for vertical and horizontal tension adjustments.

I think that would be a cool snare to have but, as we all do, try to talk em down a bit. Although if I had $500 to burn I'd probably be interested.

Actually I just took another look and noticed it looks like it may have fallen victim to steel wool.
