I guess I'll throw this out there in case someone needs some cash for the holidays, and you have what I want. In the market for one of these snares

1970 Sling WMP (artist) solid wood would be ideal, will consdier 3 ply, I believe they did make a solid wood shell in the 70's

I would also consider a 1960's Sling WMP solid maple shell snare

I know someone who has both these drums on the forum, is well respected, but doesn't want to sell either one, but we won't mention any names (TOMMY) LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I have a friend who has a 6 lug I have been trying to get for a while.........but the COB hoops are missing.......he has COS on it now.

Ah jeeze Gary... you're killin' me! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If both those snares weren't part of a dedicated/complete collection.. ( The Snare Drums of Buddy Rich 1950 to 1980/complete and all correct ) .. I would sell them both to you!, or at least the one of your choice, probably the 1974 Slingerland BR/TDR I bet. You are FIRST contact on these should that happen Gary!! And with this freaking economy, well, you never know... it could! SIGH.

There's a 70s WMP Hollywood Ace on Green Bay CL. Looks nice. They aw asking $200---probably get it for that shipped.

Thanks, but I'm not looking to taking apart wrap, I did buy the drum in the previous post, its not the correct era, 60's rather than 70's, but I cleaned it up, and may sell at the show, assuming I find my gem there. thanks though, G
