A guy in Pittsburgh offered me this champagne sparkle Slingerland for my Ludwig Standard avocado strata kit. I'm thinking about offering to just buy it from him. Anyone know what the going rate for an all original Slingerland is?

All I know is that Slingerland 70's double tom mounted bass drum kits have some issues with stability. I almost bought a silver sparkle one with matching snare for $650 a few years ago, though the champagne might be a bit more desirable. I'd go $600 for this one.
If That's an artist snare drum on it if it was mine I'd be asking at least $1000.00 for the shell pack only. If it's a sound king $800.00 at least.
The $800 guesstimate is about right. That kit is a late sixties model (the definitive way to determine such - apart from a comprehensive serial number guide - is whether it has the "chocolate milk" paint on the shell interior, which would place in somewhere between 1967-1969).
Other tell-tale features are the polished aluminum tom mount bracket in the bass drum, as this was only offered for about a year or two (the mount itself is typically steel). This double tom mount - the Double Set-O-Matic - has a very narrow range of adjustment on account of the single ball in the center which means that the angle on the toms is adjusted in tandem on a flat plane. That said, it works really well as a single mount, and due to its short "nub" it doesn't seem to "choke" as much as the single Set-O-Matic.
Regarding the snare, the photo you attached doesn't give enough detail (I have cropped and enlarged it below). It looks like the standard-issue COB Sound King, but there seems to be an unusual strainer on this that closely resembles an old Pearl/generic Gibraltar model. Whatever it is, it's not a Zoomatic, which was the strainer that both the Sound King and the Artist Model came with.
This in itself is not that unusual since the adjustment wheel on the Zoomatic had a tendency to fall off (usually on a dark nightclub stage), so some simply replaced it with something more practical (the wheel is a vintage drum part that nowadays is next to impossible to find). My WAG guess then is that the snare is a COB Sound King (a highly undervalued drum, to be sure) with an aftermarket strainer.
The snare isn't included in the deal according to the original post information.
I wouldn't do that as a trade. The Avocado set has more potential to appreciate in value in the future.
I told him I wouldn't trade for the Slingerland, he even offered to pay all shipping. He really wants the avocado kit, he offered the Black Beauty I have posted for a price check and an MIJ 22" black diamond pearl kick.
That's a no brainer the snare drum is the whole deal.
The snare is likely a Sound King with a non-Slingerland strainer.
