From new_user

Thanks. I called the guy (a real sweetheart). Like most people, he wants to stay local. Thanks again.

You guys are great. He said he'll go down to $700 total and that seems pretty fair for the kit but he would not part out the floor tom which I wouldn't do either. Thanks for the offer man.

Why don't you just make your own floor tom in the size you want, Buy a new

shell, finish it in the duco finish, and seek out Slingerland hardware to

reproduce the drum?? The parts are out there.

You'll find a floor tom. Takes time. Years in some cases..... but they are out there.

BTW if you can afford the whole CL kit posted go for it. Sell off the others you don't need to recoupe a bit.

You're not alone. I've been searching months and months for a blue/silver duco 50s WFL center lug floor tom to complete this kit. I'm 3/4 of the way there but no cigar - it would be just a killer if I could ever find one .... hope springs eternal. (anyone got what I need laying around ? ... lol)

Good luck with your search - Buying the NC kit - selling off extra's - while keeping the best drums seems like a good option to me.

Good luck. The nice thing is the VDF member new_user who offered assistance. Great community here. It took 3 years for me to find a 2nd floor tom for my Rogers project. And about the same for the Radio King kit. Both are still "in the works" projects. But nearing completion over the next year on both. Keep us posted please!
