Hi all, I'm new to the forum and I definitely like it around here. It's good to know find out that we're normal and everyone else is crazy. Anyway, I recently picked up a Slingerland Avante 60N in lavender satin flame off of CL (for $175.) and I need at least 8 B.D. claws and rods. I had to borrow some from my 80's Magnum set but I'd really like to put those back where they belong. Anyway, the ones I need are similar to the later 70's and 80's but the handles are a bit thinner and slightly rounded on the corners that would otherwise be sharper on the later handles. Also, the later T's had a bushing or spacer where the handle meets the rod. The ones I need do "not" have this spacer. As far as the claws go, (you may already know this but I'm gonna say it anyway) Slingerland eventually started putting an indentation around the hole where the washer of the rod meets the claw. The ones that I need do "not" have this indentation. Also, i'm looking for a couple of very nice 14" 8 hole tom rims hopefully from 1970 or '71. I got one off ebay but I suspect it to be imported from the late 80's so if someone has the right parts I definitely want them. I'm looking for very good to excellent condition for all parts as this drum set deserves them. Thanks and I'm glad to be here!!
