I picked up this Slingerland Black Diamond Pearl snare a while ago. I believe it is from 1964. In pretty good shape, but I'm really no expert.

This is the Artist model. your correct on the date. is it a solid shell or a 3 ply model ? also the rims are they brass? a magnet will stick to steel rims and not to brass ones?
