Slingerland Black Gold snare drum Last viewed: 1 hour ago
A quote from Sammy Davis Jr. talking about Buddy Rich
Hi first time poster here. Congrats on the Black Gold set. I remember seeing one in my local music store And I was absolutely in love with it. I ended up with a Magnum series set instead and I still have it. I do want to say that I somehow acquired a couple of rims from the B/G series that I never used for anything and they did not stand the test of time so do be extremely careful cleaning this set up. The gold finish on the hardware may be prone to flaking off very easily. I do hope that is not the case for you, however. Can't wait to see some pics of it.

1980's Ludwig Rocker 5pc Black

1922 Bower Snare
Cool. This is one of the 1985 Slingerland snares. I didnt know they had a gold finish, must look really cool in person. I think this is the last year that Slingerland was produced in Chicago and that during this era, Slingerland used cardboard shells for their "wood" drums. Crazy! Cant wait to see the rest of the kit. Enjoy!
