Very cool kit, love that finish!

Hey Mark, quick question. I know you are always trading kits in, but why do you always pick up these 20" bass drum kits, when you are looking for a 22"? Just wondering.

From johnnyringo

I got the matching snare and I measured the actual shell and it is a 9.5x15 snare. Would you consider selling me the single tom arm?

You're absolutely right. I forgot that it was what I called a 10x15 when I owned the drums. It was too tall for me in a snare stand. Lug placement for a shallower shell befuddled me. So, I did nothing with the drum.

Sorry. I'm holding on to that single tom arm. I use the single tom arm for my one up one down Slingy sets. They are a little more difficult to find than the double mounts. There's one on eBay right now for $89 buy it now.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Leedybdp isn't this the 2nd kit of yours JR ended up with? If I'm remembering right the black Leedy's were yours also? Those Slingerlands are beautiful drums.

I think that you're right about that. That man has exquisite taste in vintage drums. And, that store is a mecca for vintage drum lovers.

I like those sizes. Cool finish too. I've been keeping my eyes out for 20,12,12,14 for a while, but haven't seen any Rogers ones pop up. Might have to make a family out of some tired orphans somewhere along the line.

I posted better pictures at the beginning of thread. Yes, I also traded for the Leedy kit that belonged to Leedybdp.

Mendozart, I also love 20" kicks, I was initially going for a Rogers with a 13,16,22, but that didn't work out. I had seen this Slingy up there before and always liked it, so I inquired about trading for this one. Bart was cool with it and now that I own them, I'm glad we didn't work out a deal with the Rogers. This kit is much cleaner and looks stunning in person, the pictures don't do it justice.
