Slingerland Buddy Rich '71 cymbal holder Last viewed: 22 hours ago

Hello! I've got an Slingerland vintage kit. It's from 1971 and I think that it's a Buddy Rich one. I was repairing it but I can't find one the pieces, the cymbal holder. I was looking for information of the bass drum cymbal holder and I think that hole is not from the original piece. Does anybody know what is the piece that was mounted on the bass? Even I thought that it's possible that last owner used a bass drum leg part as a cymbal holder part, but I don't know which.

I hope you help me.

Thank you!

That sure looks unoriginal to my eyes. Take a shot from inside the drum, please.

Paul, Welcome to the forum, the cymbal mount your speaking of has only two small holes and is just a mount that is also used by slingerland to hold floor tom legs in place, the hole in your shell was not a slingerland one! here's a link of a real BR kit look at the cymbal mountss on teh bass and the floor tom leg mounts they are the same. http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/slingerland_drum_sets/1977-78-slingerland-drumsets1.jpg

Usually the cymbal mount was a floor tom leg mount.

Hi! Thank you for your answers. I was looking for more vintage catalogs last 30 minutes. At this moment I thing that it's a Gretsch bass drum leg holder or even a Rogers Cymbal holder. I'll take some photos of the inside bass drum tomorrow.

Hi Paul

Don't know what mount was on your drum, but as other members have

said it wasn't a Slingerland part. Here's some pics of a Slingy mount.

Hope this helps.
