Having strck a deal with snaremania, I received the drums yesterday. This guy was pleasure to do business with, and his packing job was extremely excellent.
Regarding the drums - they are in unbelievable condition considering their age. I have yet to find a single scratch on the wrap, and no rust whatsoever on the drums' chrome.
Mahagony interiors and BD SN 7XXX, this kit dates to Feb 1963. Includes all stands and accessories noted as a Modern Solo Outfit. Also included the cymbals (pre "3 dot") with 16" hi-hats!
There are a few issues with this kit, that the seller was up-front about from the get go - 1/2 of the inlay on one of the BD hoops is missing, and a bit of buckling of the wrap around a couple of the FT bottom lugs.
