SLINGERLAND CAPRI PEARL 1962 3 pc SET $1100 or best offer.

This offering is for a Slingerland Capri Pearl three piece kit.

These drums look fantastic in any venue and are one of the most sought after collctable finishes. Later versions of this pearl do not look anywhere near as good as these drums. This kit is used, but not abused, and ready to play. One owner, a professional musician.

They were purchased from the Frank Wolf Drum Shop, NYC, in 1962.

The factory build date stamp in the small tom reads : Aug 61

The only drum with a badge is the bass drum. (see pictures)

The tone controls on the toms are complete and work.

The heads are a mix of Aquarian and Ludwig.

The drums and stick saver rims are round and true.

Vinyl and canvas covers are included.

BASS DRUM 14 X 20

This drum comes with the shell mount cymbal bracket and “L” arm, tom tom rail and original wrench. The arm has a flat side to keep it from twisting down under the weight of the cymbal.

The counter hoops have been carefully repainted and the pearl re-installed.

There is a three leg crack and dent in the pearl where the tom bracket rests when stored. On the bottom, a seam in the pearl is open a little. (See pictures) All of the T-bolts are original. Some show wear.

The spurs are not original but work just like the originals. One original spur, used, is included.

LARGE TOM TOM 16 X 16

This drum has no cracks or gouges.

The legs are original with replacement crutch tips.

There is a Gretsch accessory bracket to hold a cowbell. It was the only one available at the time !!

SMALL TOM TOM 8 X12

There is a crack in the pearl but I think the drum still looks good. (see pic.)

The mounting plate is on the drum.

I would prefer that the buyer be able to pick up the drums in Palm City, Florida, 34990. But, if necessary,I am willing to arrange to have them packed and shipped by the buyers choice of providers at the buyers expense.
