Slingerland Charcoal vs Blue Satin Flame Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

As many of you may remember, we had a good debate some months ago about a floor tom on eBay and whether it was Charcoal or Blue Satin Flame. There were those of you insistent that it was Blue and others, like myself, equally convinced it was Charcoal. The following item was recently posted on eBay, which should end the debate that it is Charcoal Satin Flame. Check it out here...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281193249624&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

The Satin Flame colors from left to right are: Charcoal, Gold, Green (Aqua), Blue, Red and White. Don't forget to notice many of the other cool finishes!

Hey Mark,

Here are a few pics to browse, first is the FT we talked about.. second & third are Blue Satin kits off of the net.. If you compare the darker areas (Shaded Bits) of the kits you will see the same hues of blue as the FT.

I also post a couple of Charcoal Pics, note absolutely no hint of Blue.... OK, some Blue on the Charcoal FT but this is a reflection and is also seen on the top rim.. (note the colour swatches on feebay are also reflecting blue across all of the samples)..

Cheers

John

I'm no expert, but that's a blue satin FT if you ask me.

What's does it look like under a lug?
