This set is on buy/sell site here in Serbia.According to seller is from 1977.It is 22-12-16.What is confusing me is that of all Slingerland pics and cat scans I found here, there was only 22-13-16 configuration in that time.Is this maybe 22-1-13-16 without 13" tom and different(single) tom mount or this is legitimate configuration, but not shown in catalogues/

Thank you,BTW price is around $430

Joe Cusatis 4N config (20,12,16) could be ordered with a 22 bass. That would make up that kit. Interestingly enough, by the year of manufacture for that kit it was called the Dennis St. John 4N and was the 22,13,16 config.

So, could it be a cat kit ... yes. It could have been ordered from an earlier cat as a 4N 20,12,16 kit considering where you are located.

In my exp, usually when 5pc a kit is unmodified but missing a ride tom, usually the double tom mount stays with the original kit,so I would believe that chances are that your kit was a catalogue kit,or perhaps a special order,Sling made their own shells and most of the hardware in house and was pretty good about doing special orders.

Either way a nice kit, looks like 3 ply with rings from the bass drum. I can't tell what the snare is,but 430.00 for those here in the states would be a sweet deal IMO.

Regardless of what "model" it is, that's a good deal. Snag 'em, and you'll have yourself a sweet kit for cheap!

Thanks for replies.I made a mistake when i put price,it is just for shells 22-12-16,snare and stands and cymbals not included.Snare is Dynasonic, but missing almost everything original, cradle, snare strainer and original hoops.Iread here, sometimes ago that Dynasonic don;t have snare beds,so how this can sound with conventional snare and strainer without cradle?

I got a Dyna with the cradle/snare wire frame.no snares on it.This was before pure sound came out with the retro fit dyna snarewires.

I tried the rhythm tech wires that are encased in a box/frame,but I hated them, unless you like your snares really loose, otherwise you have to tighten the throw so much that you totally choke the drum.

I then used some regular wires, the dyna does have a snare bed,but an extremely shallow one,and the regular wires worked ok,but not as well as when I got the pure sounds on it.When I did that when it was tuned right rimshots would take your head off.

Here in the states a 1977 5" dyna sells for around 275.00 complete, and that is what I sold my 1976 for a couple of years ago.

U.s price for Snare frame,50-75 U.S. ,the bottom hoop complete 75 plus, and puresound wires are 45.00 50.00 I think,Strainer/throw I have no Idea.As is I would not give more than 75.00 for that dyna,if that.

I don't know what Sling 70's 3 plies are going for in Serbia, but still the three ply 70's sling drums would still go for 600.00 here in U.S. IMO.Still a good deal U.S. currency wise I think. You may explain to the seller that to get the dyna up and running close to 250.00 easily.430.00 is still a deal I think, but you could always ask the seller to take a few bucks off and keep the dyna.
