Vanderpas,

Welcome to the forum.

So what size it that bass drum?

It's a chrome finished set with 12" mounted tom and a 14" floor tom.

I'm guessing maybe part of a magnum set... possibly.

If so... I'm thinking $200 to $300 depending on how complete the set is.

This could be completely wrong... but I'm taking a shot for you.

Mid 70's based on the badge and serial number...

Ok then those are cool jazz sizes..not real popular in the 70's so I'm thinking I'm wrong on the Magnum ID... it matches the Spirit Artist J4 sizes but the drums are pre-80's so I don't think that is right.

So I'm going with a 1974 Modern Jazz Outfit. That kit was produced from 1960 to 1976 and sizes match. I would guess chrome would have been available as a finish. I would also bump that value up some... $500 to $700 depending on condition and completeness

Bowing**Thanks to ROB COOK... your Slingerland Book is the BEST!! I thoroughly enjoy browsing the pages and looking for answers to questions like this one.

All that said... I may be completely wrong.

It looks like a Yamaha tom mount has been added to the bass drum. I expect the mounted tom has had the mounting hardware changed out, too. That will ease the value down some.

Jeeez, looks like somebody really went out of their way to ruin that drum.

It is, or was a nice kit. I am sure it sounds fine and playable but your value got screwed with those modifications. The 14" might be ok. So when are you putting it on ebay?
