I think I marched with a very similar drum. Ours were very very blue sparkle though. How much did ya give for these as furniture? :)

Wow,Some years ago[over 10 years] i got three lamp tables two snares if i recall 14x15 or 14x16 ludwigs and a 28" bass drum.Drums were 1940s or so.They were painted lime green,they added a light inside each one with a round piece of glass on top,,No legs were added..the bass was the same way lights added ete,ete...I give a whole 50.00 for all of them[at a artist sale at a high school they got them from the Band room of junk drums]..I cleaned them up and sold them as vintage drums for something like 300.00 or so...Mikey

They were 100 for the pair and I gave her $75. I'm a sucker for a mistreated drum but I will say, the Keith Moon vistalite fish tank is tempting...

Remove hardware and badge. Strip paint. Sand. Refinish to taste. (Something like Watco Rejuvenating Oil might be a good low-gloss choice, and it does seem to make older dry wood happy.) Replace badge. Remove hardware rust w/electrolysis and/or manual labor. Polish hardware. Assemble to oohs and ahhs.

I have a slingy 20" floor tom I was using as a trash can in my drum room, with a vintage 22" Zildjian ride for the lid lol I made a cocktail kit out of it now.

If that is an MIJ end table, I'd like to have it to go with the rest of my furniture, then I'd have a set to move to the kid in OKC that is ready to move up to a kit.

Forgive my ingnorance, but what is a MIJ ?
