Slingerland Hi-Hat ID Required Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Could anyone help ID this Slingerland Hi-Hat stand for me.

Sorry it is not a great photo, but hopefully enough detail.

I know there was a Rocket Snare stand, but was there such a stand as the Rocket Hi-Hat as I was told that could be the name?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

So was the 806 Dynamo known as the 'Rocket' Hi-hat and was this a top of the range?

Here is another shot of it, still sadly not as large or a detailed as I'd like.

I think the Dynamo was a high end hi hat stand. Also, isn't this the stand that Buddy Rich used from 68-77? Cool!

my fellow form member james answered your question about the hihat stand being top of the line, and yes this is it the dynamo model # 806 and no there is not a hihat stand from slingerland called the rocket It is a snare drum stand that was sold from several manufacturers, and james you are right, also the dynamo stand it came stock on the buddy rich outfit model#80 N

Hi,

This photo is actually of a later model than the 806. It is #809 which appeared during the red label era and has wider legs of tubular section. 806s are a much neater design IMO with flat section legs.

Thank you , I am now sure the last images I posted are the 806.

I am still not sure about the first images though, I will do my best to get a better shot to confirm whether it is an 806 or 809.

Does anyone here own and have a clear shot of an 809?

Thanks again! :)
