Anyone here know the difference between the Slingerland HSS era Spirit and Spirit Plus series. I bought a kit with a Niles foil badge that looks to be 5 ply shells (very thin) the kit needs a rewrap, but I'm looking to pinpoint the era it was made.

Damn, now how did I miss that....thanks

Now, my 2nd question......Anybody know if the Spirit Series ever used maple? I have a 3-piece kit that looks like the Spirit hardware, but the shells sure don't look like mahogany.....more like maple on the inside of the shell.
