When did Slingerland stop using cob rings and should all vent holes always be mid ways on toms?

around 66 or so and I've seen vent holes all over on slingerlands.

Thanks for info about vent holes,drums appear to be genuine other than that.

I think it was earlier than that Jim Bob.I'd say 65....66,I"m with VM2K on this.Mark Cooper would probably have it down to the month and day.....kidding Mark.:)
