Thanks for all the replies guys. I went with the Maxwell Rail Consolette and I am very pleased. It looks good and it is more sturdy than my Slingy consolette. Steve was nice enough to only sell me the parts I needed, so I saved a few dollars as well. I've posted a few pics. Enjoy!

Sorry Lucky! I couldn't help myself :)

Do you have a WMP too? I would love to see it. Please send me some pics if you can.

Hi James. Good choice with the Maxwell mount! I did forget to mention that I replaced many of the bolts and nuts on my mount with chromed replacements. To save costs, Steve uses mainly generic nuts and bolts. I wanted to use show-chrome hardware. Costs a bit more, but worth it! Enjoy your consolette and post pictures!

The above link is to a silver spray paint I have used at work for different stuff. If shaken properly and applied in thin coats, it gives a real nice chrome-ish look to nuts and bolts and metal stuff in general. I only mention this as a way to dress up the generic nuts and bolts referenced on the replacement parts in this thread. Let it dry real good before putting wrenches (correct size open end wrenches) to the nuts and it shouldn't mar the finish all that much if at all.

There is a pic of my kit in the gallery. The atmosphere in my drum room isn't the most desirable for pics, it is almost dungeonlike. The next time I gig it I will snap some good pics. What year is that?

Hi Lucky,

Cool - I'll take a look in the gallery for your kit and look forward to some new pics when you get a chance to snap them! Mine is actually a hodge-podge of orphans. The bass drum is '59-61 that I did some serious work on, the 12" is a '64, the 16" is a '67, and the Super GK snare is a '57. Good players kit :).
