Slingerland Red Sparkle late 50's/early 60's Kit $800 OBO Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Just saw this on Nashville Craigslist. Looks like late 50's or early 60's. Sizes appear to be 20, 12, 14, & a snare. If it's for real, that's a steal of a price, IMO.

Won't someone buy this for me? Oh how I love red sparkle and really want those sizes. Why!!! Why!!! Why!!! Why can't I have the cash right now!!!!

Nice, calf skin heads maybe too. Something funny with the snare strainer and butt though.

It looks like it had a clamshell strainer and guy made a plate to hold the butt using the CS holes. Hard to tell but if that's the case it might be a solid maple shell.

The snare has the wrong strainer not even slingerland and the butt end also, it's a player now, the price is about right.

Ehhhh. Nashville is a pretty hot music scene. Not discounting anything alleged here, but if they were a totally smokin' deal, they would already be gone I would think. Of course, they could just be gone already as it is.

I do stick by my personal system though, and that is when they spell it symbol, offer less money.........

Yep - luv me sum symbols. And what about the "red starburst" finish? Looking thru the Slingerland catalogs and can't seem to find what year they offered that one. LoLoLoLo

I saw the snare situation. Too bad.

As to the Nashville "scene", most guys around here are into new drums. I see very little vintage gear on craigslist or any of the music stores.
