Hello VDF,

I picked up some Radio Kings today and I just need some advice from some of the Slingerland gurus. It's a 24" BD/ 16"FT and an RK one ply 6.5" snare and sadly there was no tom with it. I'm just trying to nail down the model of the snare/kit and if they came as a complete kit what one would it be. There is no badge on the FT and no vent hole either! They are faded to a ginger ale color so I was wondering what color they started out as? What would be the odds of finding a corresponding tom to the kit or am I dreaming! I've included some pics.

Those look great, you might find the tom tomorrow or never, but I'd never sell them!

That's a mid 40s Super Gene Krupa Radio King. Looks to be in excellent condition. The wrap was silver sparkle which has aged to the current ginger-ale color. Very nice kit, but it may be difficult to find a tom with a matching fade. Those Beavertail lugs are somewhat fragile, don't overtension!
