Slingerland Set-o-matic Last viewed: 18 minutes ago

What years did Slingerland have "patapldfor" on their set-o-matic tom holders. It is the double set-o-matic and the one with the grey nylon ball, not the chrome capped one. Also, the writing is on the top to the left of the nylon ball, right in plain view.

have a wonderful evening

Hey drumhack.

Sounds like the first version of the setomatic which was 1968.

Pics would help to confirm.

Cheers Stevo.

I'll have to agree with SteveO......sounds like the earliest version...are the cast pieces a "polished" aluminum finish? If so, those were introduced in late 1968 and phased out/replaced by the chrome version by the end of 1970.

As far as I know,

The Alloy version was introduced in '68.

The Chrome version with "Pat Pending" on the Insert appeared early 70's.

By mid 70's the Chrome "Patented" version appeared.

Also mid 70's the Super-Set-O-Matic, double tom mount was introduced.

Cheers
