Im thinking about looking at these drums. The sellers says these are Sligerland shells. Are they? would be difficult to fine enough parts to complete a kit? Thanks

Jeff, I would pick them up if the price isnt too high. I have a couple of 70s 22" bare shells if you wanted to rewrap them. That clamshell strainer looks right to me. Could be a fun player.

They do APPEAR to be Slingerland shells, and that is a clamshell strainer, so there's a pretty good change that they are. Without better pictures for closer inspection, its hard to say for sure that they definitely are Slingerland shells. I'd say I'm about 97% sure that they are though....

Looks like Slingerland to me. Inside wood doesn't look like the MIJ style either. I see contact paper under the floor tom lugs, so the wrap may be in good shape.

Those look pretty nice. Those Clamshell strainers seem hard to find so if that's complete on both ends it's a big plus. Good luck~! ;)

Anyone care to guess what is a fair price assuming they are Slingys? 50 too much, not enough?

Looking at the picture close I see what looks like a mounting screw where the butt would be. The shells have reinforcment rings so that must date it into the sixties, I think.
