Happy to report this one is back in one piece. Changed out two non original tension rods and pulled from the stash enough button clips to complete. The rest of the hardware is original per start of this post.

Shell has 20 coats of Johnsons paste wax, hair dryer to smooth every 3 coats, and 10 coats Mequires Quick Wax. Hardware is 20 coats MQW after polishing with Alum wheel polish until no residue on the micro-fibre towel.

Just beautiful. Paste wax does a awesome job! Looks miles deep like a new lacquer job.

So this snare is for a Super Lug kit. Lugs switched to nickle BT's for a better match. Originals safely stored. Wish all could see this one. Doesn't like its picture taken :-)

I like the BT's on it. Dang even the screw heads are all at 12:00. Nice detail, very nice.
