Slingerland Snare ID Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hi guys,

Well, I'm stumped with this one. Can anyone ID this Slingy snare? The badge looks to be the brass and tan Chicago badge ('50-'53), but I don't recognize the strainer or lugs as being Slingerland made. Plus, I've never seen Slingerland t-rods like this before. Any ideas? Thanks :)

James

Thanks VM2000. I took a look through the Slingerland book to try to pin down that strainer, but can seem to find it. Do you know if that strainer is a Slingerland?

Thanks again!

James, that's a good looking shell. Any marks on the strainer at all?

That shell does look nice. I cant see any marks on the strainer at all, but I am interested in picking this up. Asking price is $175 - what do you think, is it worth it? Not sure about the going rate for junior models with suspect strainers :)

Thanks again guys!
