Slingerland snare -- what's the deal? Last viewed: 23 hours ago

All of a sudden, I'm on a Slingerland thing. And I can't find this snare anywhere. I reckon it's a student model something... but it's kind of interesting.

Whatcha' think?

Holy cow, I just saw that the shipping is almost fifty bucks. Just on principle, the guy lost a customer.

Bill, to me it looks like the Festival model, but usually they have the rapid strainer. This one has the zoomatic with an incorrect knob. You can get these cheap. If it is a festival model, it should be a steel shell.

Thats the part that confused me -- the shell.

I'm not going to look into it all that closely... sounds like an oddball.

I'm thinking late 80's early 90's Artist model because of the zoomatic,5 ply maple poplar COW.The Festival had the rapid strainer.

Except for the funky Zoomatic knob it's pretty interesting.

The shipping $ puts me off though. We've all sent enough stuff to know roughly what that costs and this is gouge city. Moving the whole thing into Bogus Land!
