Did they ever make 16x16 "Stage Band" floor toms or was 14x14 the only size?
Thanks!

I see a 12x15 for the kit with a 22 inch bass. Any 16 inch floors though?

Hmm. 14x16 is pretty cool. That's strange though. I wonder how easy it is to find one of those shells? I don't think I've seen one. Think finding one in dark blue sparkle (1966) would be near impossible? A 15 would be great too.

I saw this thread and thought I would chime in. I have a set of the Slingerland Stage Band drums. Standard kit with 5 1/2 x 14 snare, 8x12 mounted tom using the Setomatic holder, 14x14 floor tom and 14x20 (or 18 - not sure) bass drum. They were given to me by my parents as a bar mitzvah present in 1974 or 1975. They were purchased from Manny's in NYC. Color is White Marine Pearl. Over the years I decided I wanted a second mounted tom so in the late 70's I bought a 9x13 tom for it. That one does not have the single lug design but the more conventional 2 lug design and therefore does not match in appearance. It also doesn't sound as good as the original drums. I also had a hankering for another floor tom and bought a Premier 16x16 floor tom from a college buddy for $20 in the early 80's.
I recently saw a nicely kept (at least from the pictures) Slingerland 9x13 mounted tom of the Stage Band series in matching White Marine Pearl on ebay and am waiting for it to arrive (any day now). The wrap looks like it's in good condition and it appears to be in similar condition to the rest of my kit. I guess now I too would love to get my hands on a 14x16 floor tom to round things out.
I have to say that I really like how these drums sound and others have commented similarly. I went through a time when I looked down on them as a "budget" kit and it was all I could afford. I privately salivated over the Yamaha Recording Customs but now many years later, I am glad I still have them and in decent condition. They have served me well over the years on gigs and is the only set I have ever owned. I'm really anxious to see and hear the 9x13 and add it to the kit. I suppose I should post some pics here. I'll do that once the new tom arrives.
I only learned that these were called Stage Band during this past week as I was researching them online. I never knew what "model" they were all these years. I have never seen a set of these before in person so when I saw the tom online and available, I jumped on it. I am always interested in hearing about things I have that are old (like me) and would appreciate any comments anyone has, including what someone might guess they would be worth (not looking to sell - just curious). I'll post some pics soon. Thanks!
