Slingerland worth, how to figure Last viewed: 24 minutes ago

Hi, folks,

After advise from John, ( longjohn), I understand more about figuring out how to figure age ( or close to that ), serial numbers really don't help in how to ID a vintage set, nor does wrap color. Badges help in general year area, but still don't pinpoint age. So with that said, I really don't know how to figure about worth. I know age, style, color, scarcity, and quality has a lot to do with it, but really have not learned how to appraise worth. As for an example, I have found a Slingerland, black diamond pearl 5 piece, black and brass badge, serial numbers 200xxxx series, for I think is a good price however, how do you really know....?

I can't help you with price, which in addition to the things you mentioned also includes location, but I that's a nice early '70's kit there.

New Rock/Modern Solo Black Diamond Pearl, matching Artist (?) snare, Rogers Big R memriloc hardware, including my own favorite, the Rogers Supreme hi-hat stand.

The Super S-O-M looks like a re-fit due to the rearward placement of the bass drum bracket.
