Slingerland Yellow Tiger Pearl, opinions please Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hello my fellow drummers.....I have an opportunity to acquire a Slingerland Yellow Tiger Pearl kit, 20, 12, 16 and a 6-lug WMP B/O 5 x 14 snare. The drumset is in good shape, milk chocolate interiors, all the wrap is decent with one spider crack on the wrap of the bass drum and some other scratches on the kit, but they are hard to see with this wrap. It'll need some parts (and I just sold a lot of Slingerland stuff, doh!) All the lugs are on the drums, but missing the bottom hoop for the floor as well as the legs, and the legs and holder on the bass drum.

The person who has the set is more into metal and I offered a double bass Ludwig Rocker with 4 toms, floor tom and snare with bass drum pedals and the Rocker snare.

Just curious if my fellow players and sellers think this is a fair deal.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I would do the deal in less than a heartbeat. The metal head should be happy with it, too.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Realistically, you're going to pony up a couple hundred to make it right. Is it a single Tom mount or a double that's missing the 13 tom?

This is a fair deal. He's walking into a "play it now" kit and you're picking up a project ... Mind you, it's a beaut ... It's all good. Win-win.

According to the owner, it's missing a tom and he's looking for the tom post. He left the drums with me, so I've been looking at them when I can. Inlays are painted over, some minor seperation, but shells looks good.

Here's some pics:
