I was practising down at my local rehearsal studio the other day when someone knocked on my door and asked if I was interested in purchasing these drums.

I had one listen to the bass drum and said yes.

HA! First time I've seen someone have a kit find them. Nice score man, I used to have a 13/16/24 Slingy and I still to this day regret selling it.

so....how much did you score it for?

They are fast becoming a favourite.

I actually ended up swapping them for the Yamaha 9000 kit I was practising on. Although the yammies were nice. They don't come close to these for tone. I'm real happy.

Also the Yamaha's were a freebee from years ago when I was with a signed band. So it was a win win for me I guess.

How awesome! You must be a committed musician and a giving person. I've always believed in good juju and have had really great hand drums find me in the past. I dream of an old Slingerland kit, but they're always out of my price range...even player's kits, and so for one hasn't knocked on my door. Your story gives me hope:D

Wow! those are really nice. will you please post a pic of them set up and all silver sparkly. I love my old Slingerlands. Silver Sparkle is timeless, classy, and beautiful! Really georgous under lights.
